오늘 두 차례 연습에서, 첫 계단부터 시작하여 바로 앞 계단까지, 우리가 지금까지 연습한 것을 모두 복습하라. 그런 다음, 계단의 전 과정을 함께 이어서 숙고하라. 이 시점에서는 당신이 어떤 결론을 내려야 하는 것이 아니라, 묻고 나서 참된 앎이 당신에게 얼마나 필요한지 깨닫는 것이 중요하다. 당신이 오늘 이 연습을 성실히 한다면, 당신에게 참된 앎이 절실히 필요하다는 것은 아주 명백할 것이다. 가정하지 않으면, 당신은 취약하지만, 동시에 삶에서 진실과 확실성을 받아들일 수 있는 자리에 있게 된다.
