괴로워하는 마음이 인내하기란 매우 어렵다. 침착하지 못한 마음이 인내하기란 매우 어렵다. 일시적인 것들에서 모든 가치를 찾았던 마음이 인내하기란 매우 어렵다. 오로지 큰 어떤 것을 추구할 때만 인내가 필요하다. 왜냐하면 큰 것에는 큰 적용이 필요하기 때문이다. 순간적 기분이나 이득의 측면이 아니라, 장기적 성장의 측면에서 삶을 생각하라. 앎은 단순한 자극이 아니다. 앎은 깊은 곳에 있는, 우주적이고 영원한 힘이며, 앎의 위대함은 당신이 받아서 줄 수 있도록 당신에게 주어졌다.

인내하는 법을 배울 것을 확언하고, 당신 삶에 비판적이 되기보다는 관찰자가 될 것을 확언하면서, 오늘 시간마다 연습하라. 당신의 능력이나 상황에 더 큰 확실성을 적용할 수 있도록 그 능력과 상황에 객관적이 될 것을 확언하라.

오늘 인내를 배우며, 인내심을 가지고 배우라. 그럼으로써 당신은 더 빨리, 더 확실히, 더 부드럽게 나아갈 것이다.
