오늘로써 당신의 일곱 번째 주 연습이 끝난다. 이 복습에서 지난 7주간의 모든 가르침을 다시 읽어보고, 각 계단을 공부하면서 체험했던 것을 상기해보라. 7주간 연습한 것을 모두 복습하려면, 긴 연습 시간을 몇 차례 가져야 할지도 모른다. 하지만 학생이 된다는 것이 무엇을 뜻하고, 배움이 실제로 어떻게 이루어지는지 당신이 이해하려면, 이번 7주간의 전 과정 복습은 꼭 필요하다.

학생으로서의 자신을 판단하지 않도록 매우 주의하라. 당신은 학생으로서의 자신을 판단할 위치에 있지 않다. 당신은 자기 앎, 즉 참자아 알기를 가르치는 교사가 아니니, 그 판단 기준이 없다. 당신은 앞으로 나아가면서, 어떤 실패는 더 큰 성공으로 이끌고, 성공이라 여겼던 것은 실패로 이끌 수도 있다는 것을 알게 될 것이다. 그럼으로써 자신의 전반적 평가체계를 새로운 눈으로 보게 되고, 더 큰 것을 인지할 것이다. 그럼으로써 당신은 자신에게도 자비롭고, 지금 당신의 판단으로 성공하거나 실패한 남들에게도 자비로울 수 있을 것이다.

그러니 첫 48과까지 수업에서 연습한 것들을 모두 되돌아보라. 각 계단에서 당신이 어떻게 응답했고, 얼마나 깊이 참여했는지, 상기해보려고 노력하라. 성공한 것, 성취한 것, 장애가 된 것들을 보려고 노력하라. 여기까지 온 것을 축하한다. 당신은 첫 시험을 통과했다. 앎이 당신과 함께 있으니, 용기를 갖고 앞으로 나아가라.
