당신이 받을 수 있는 참된 가르침이 있다. 그 가르침은 당신이 삶에서 그 가르침의 필요성을 깨달을 만큼 성숙해지기를 기다려 왔다. 진정으로 배우고자 하는 마음은 이 필요성에서 나온다. 이 필요성은 당신에게 절실히 필요한 것에서 당신의 한계를 알 때 생긴다. 앎의 학생이 되려면, 당신은 자신을 사랑해야 하고, 계속 전진하려면, 끊임없이 자신을 사랑해야 한다. 이것 말고 배움에 다른 장애란 없다. 사랑이 없는 곳에는 두려움이 있다. 왜냐하면 다른 어떤 것도 사랑을 대신할 수 없기 때문이다. 그러나 사랑은 두려움에 자리를 내주지 않았으니, 당신은 참된 도움을 받을 수 있다.

오늘 두 차례 명상에서 그 참된 도움이 현존하는 것을 느껴보라. 고요와 침묵 속에서, 당신 주위와 당신 삶 속에 이 도움이 현존하는 것을 느껴보라. 이 명상에서 완전히 새로운 감각인, 내면의 큰 민감성이 열리기 시작할 것이다. 비록 눈으로 볼 수는 없어도, 당신은 현존하는 것들을 알아차리기 시작할 것이다. 비록 당신이 메시지의 원천에서 하는 말을 아직 들을 수는 없어도, 그 아이디어와 정보에 응답할 수는 있을 것이다. 이것이 창조적 사고의 실제 과정이다. 왜냐하면 사람들은 아이디어를 받지, 아이디어를 창조하지 않기 때문이다. 당신은 큰 삶의 일부분이며, 당신 개인의 삶은 큰 삶을 표현하는 매개체이다. 그래서 당신의 개체성은 더욱 잘 자라게 되고, 더욱 기쁜 것이 되며, 더 이상 당신에게 감옥이 아니라, 기쁨을 주는 표현의 한 형태가 된다.
