이것은 앎을 염원하는 당신의 소망을 표현하며, 평화를 염원하는 당신의 소망을 표현한다. 이 둘은 모두 같은 소망이다. 이 소망은 당신 앎에서 나온다. 이 소망이 다른 소망들과 맞설 수도 있다. 또 꼭 그래야 하는 것은 아니지만, 이 소망이 다른 것들에 위협이 될 수도 있다. 그러므로 오늘의 확언은 삶에서 당신의 참뜻을 반영한다. 당신의 참뜻이 확언됨으로써, 그 참뜻이 당신에게 더 분명해지며, 결국 점점 더 많이 그 참뜻을 체험할 수 있다.

오늘 정각마다, 다른 세상을 보려는 당신의 소망을 느껴보라. 판단하지 말고 세상을 바라보면서, "나는 다른 세상을 보고 싶다."라고 자신에게 말하라. 시간마다 이렇게 하라. 연습 시간을 하나도 빼먹지 않도록 노력하라. 당신의 기분이 어떠하든, 주위에서 무슨 일이 일어나든 연습하라. 당신은 자신의 감정 상태보다 더 크다. 그러니 당신의 감정 상태를 부정할 필요는 없다. 물론 때맞춰 감정 상태들이 조절되어야 할 필요는 있을 것이다. 당신은 당신 주위에 보이는 이미지들보다 더 크다. 그 이미지는 대개 당신이 세상에 내린 판단이기 때문이다. 오늘은 판단하지 않고 바라보기와 보는 대로 느끼기를 연습하라.
