삶은 당신이 지금까지 이해한 것보다 더 크며, 당신이 지금까지 상상한 것보다 확실히 더 크다. 삶이 크다는 것은 당신이 다세계 큰 공동체에서 산다는 사실에서 나오며, 당신 내면에 있는 앎이 당신의 필수 부분이라는 사실에서 나온다. 삶이 크다는 것은 교사들의 현존으로 확인되고, 당신과 함께 앎의 회복을 준비하는 이들의 현존으로 확인된다.

따라서 당신은 큰 우주에서 큰 목적을 가진다. 따라서 당신은 세상을 세상에 맞는 맥락에서 볼 수 있다. 따라서 당신은 자신을 자신에 맞는 맥락에서 볼 수 있다. 왜냐하면 당신은 세상의 큰 진화에서 작은 역할을 맡을 것이며, 그 역할은 없어서는 안 될 것이기 때문이다. 그 역할은 당신이 해낼 수 있는 범주 안에 있을 것이다. 큰 것을 위해 행해지는 작은 것이란 가장 작은 공헌이 봉사를 받는 큰 것을 품고 있다는 뜻이다. 그럼으로써 당신은 자신에게 복원되고, 삶에 복원된다. 이때 어둠이 모두 사라지고, 부정적으로 상상하는 일이 모두 없어진다. 왜냐하면 당신이 큰 삶에 봉사하고 있기 때문이다.

긴 연습에서 오늘 말의 의미를 이해하려고 노력하라. 마음을 뜻있게 쓰라. 또한 적극적이면서 객관적으로 쓰라. 왜냐하면 마음은 이렇게 쓰는 것이 그 목적이기 때문이다.
