삶의 가장 큰 진실은 무엇인가? 삶의 가장 큰 진실은 체험되어야 하는 어떤 것이다. 왜냐하면 관념이 당신의 현재 체험 안에서 진실을 반영할 수는 있다 하더라도, 관념만으로는 큰 진실을 담을 수 없기 때문이다. 큰 진실은 큰 관계의 산물이다. 당신은 삶과 큰 관계를 맺고 있다. 당신은 당신 내면에 있는 참된 교사들과 큰 관계를 맺고 있다. 당신은 결국 외적인 삶에서 다른 이들과 큰 관계를 체험하겠지만, 먼저 이미 참되게 맺어진 큰 관계의 근원을 체험해야 한다. 그러고 나면 큰 관계를 단순히 바깥 세상에 전해주는 일만 남는다. 때가 되면 당신은 자연스레 그렇게 할 것이다.

두 차례 연습에서, 이 관계 느끼기를 연습하라. 큰 관계를 주려면 먼저 당신이 받아들여야 하므로, 당신에게 또다시 받아들일 것을 요청한다. 일단 큰 관계가 받아들여지면, 그다음은 큰 관계가 모든 것을 자연스레 내줄 것이다. 이 과정에서 당신 가치는 재정립된다. 왜냐하면 큰 관계는 아주 분명하기 때문이다. 당신은 당신 자신이나 당신 체험을 거짓으로 표현하지 않아도 된다. 큰 사랑을 함께 나눈다는 것은 정확하게 말하자면 당신도 그 사랑을 그 순간 체험하고 있다는 뜻이다. 우리가 오늘 당신에게 전해주고 싶은 것이 바로 이 체험이다.
