당신은 앎과 함께 살고 있으니, 자유는 당신의 것이다. 당신은 불필요한 생각이나 추측에서 오는 과도한 긴장으로 자신에게 부담을 주지 않아도 되니, 자유는 당신의 것이다. 당신은 자신의 유일한 목적과 이 목적에서 나온 특별한 일들에 헌신할 수 있으니, 자유는 당신의 것이다. 자신의 앎을 활용하여 앎이 정한 운명을 세상에서 실현하는 자유보다 더 큰 자유가 있겠는가? 이것 말고는 다른 어떤 것도 자유라 부를 수 없다. 왜냐하면 다른 것은 모두 그저 혼란에 빠지고 더욱 비참해지는 자유일 뿐이기 때문이다.

당신은 오늘 앎이 함께 있는 것을 받아들이는 데 자유롭다. 오늘 시간연습과 두 차례 깊은 명상에서 당신이 자유롭다는 것을 잊지 말라. 두 차례 명상에서 당신이 앎과 함께 있는 자유를 가질 때, 자신이 고요 속으로 들어가는 것을 허용하라. 그리고 어떤 느낌이나 생각도 당신이 세상에서 빠져나와 앎으로 들어가는 큰 자유를 체험하는 것을 방해하지 못하게 하라.

이 연습 시간은 당신의 총체적 안녕을 위해 매우 중요하다. 당신은 이 연습에 참여하여 앎과 함께 평화 속에 있는 법을 배움으로써, 또한 세상에서 앎이 그 지혜를 펼칠 때 앎을 따르는 법을 배움으로써, 모든 외적 활동에서 앎에 더 깊이 다가갈 것이다. 당신은 오늘 앎과 함께 있는 데 자유롭다. 왜냐하면 당신은 오늘 자유롭기 때문이다.
